Register for the webinar today!
Join us on October 20 and 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central as we discuss "What Must We Do to Be Saved? Christians, Politics, and A Nation in Crisis."
There is a Christian voice that is loud in public - in politics - that narrows the scope of Christian moral responsibility to three issues, and especially one non-negotiable (abortion). Their practice of filtering Christianity in that way often has a residual effect of making injustice morally tolerable (if not a moral good), when it serves the purpose of accomplishing a very narrowed interpretation of the faith. But theirs is not the only brand of Christianity in the U.S. Not at all. What is often called "progressive" and "liberal" focuses on something we may loosely describe as "inclusion." But what are its non-negotiables? What does a progressive Christianity describe as political goals? How would one describe Christian responsibility in public, if it is not the brand of religion that is narrowed to a couple of policies? That's what we'll talk about. Please join us!
Pastors joining us in this discussion are: Rev. Dr. Eboni Marshall Turman, Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson, Rev. Traci Blackmon, and Rev. Dr. William H. Lamar IV.
