Explore McCormick
Because we understand each of us are called and each of us takes a unique path to Christian vocation, McCormick Theological Seminary provides several events over the course of the year to provide opportunities to spend some time in discernment and to learn about life as a McCormick community member – Evenings of Discernment and Inquiry Into Ministry Weekend.
As Rev. Lillian Daniel reminds us in her book This Odd and Wondrous Calling, “Somehow God calls us into practicing our faith together, not so that we will all march in lockstep but so that we will move like a dance troupe, in which each one of us contributes a somewhat different step into the unfolding work and beauty.” Come visit and join us for a moment to discern your different step. Come explore McCormick!
Evenings of Discernment
We understand that life is full of priorities and time commitments – family, ministry, work – and that it is difficult to dedicate a whole weekend to discernment. Therefore, we would like to spend an evening with you, sharing with you an experience of what makes McCormick an outstanding place to prepare for leadership in the church and world.
The timing of this event is in line with many of our courses taught in our Masters program. We are intentional about keeping these events to a three-hour time period because, should you become a McCormick student, this Evening of Discernment might also give you a taste of what it is like to come to campus on a weeknight for a typical three-hour class.
These events are free of charge and dinner is provided.
Please register for the event so we can have an accurate count for meals. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Jamie Wasowski, Associate of Master's Level of Recruitment and Admissions at 773.947.6255 or admit@mccormick.edu
