International Inquirers

McCormick welcomes students from all over the world.

We encourage prospective international students to take note of the specific requirements for each Masters degree or Doctorate level degree. Questions can be directed to the recruitment representative for either program.

English Proficiency Requirement

Students who will matriculate after Fall of 2012 will have to meet the English language proficiency requirement in one (1) of the following ways:

  1. An undergraduate or graduate degree from an institution in which English was the instructional language.
  2. Four semesters of ESL from an accredited institution. 
  3. A TOEFL exam with an internet total score of 79 (213 computer, 550 paper), with a 20 minimum in four sections: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
  4. A documented exemption from the above requirements. This could include extensive ministerial experience in an English speaking context, a bilingual family of origin where English was one of the domestic languages, or extensive education instruction apart from college or university in English. 
  5. English proficiency can be waived based on the evaluation of Rob Worley in the LRWC. 

영어 능력 요구사항

2012년 가을 학기에 입학하기를 원하는 사람은 아래 네개의 요구사항 중 하나를 충족시키면 됩니다.

1. 영어로 공부하는 대학교 또는 대학원을 졸업하신 분.

2. 공인된 ESL(영어학원)에서 네학기 과정 이수하신 분.

3. TOEFL 점수 Ibt 기준 79점 이상(cbt 기준 213, pbt 기준 550)에 읽기, 듣기, 말하기, 쓰기 각 부분별로 20점 이상 보유하신 분.

4. 위 해당 사항 안되신다면, 영어 환경에서 다양한 사역 경험, 가족내에 모국어에 준하는 영어 사용 경험, 또는 대학 과정 이상의 고등 교육 이외의 현장에서 영어를 매개로 한 다양한 경험을 문서로 증빙할 수 있는 분.

5. 영어 능력은 LRWC 롭 월리의 평가에 따라 면제 할 수있다.

 

 

REQUISITO DE DOMINIO DEL IDIOMA INGLES

Los/Las estudiantes que se matricularán en el Semestre de Otoño de 2012 tendrán que cumplir con el requisito de dominio del idioma Inglés en * una (1) de las siguientes maneras: *

1. Poseer un título de grado o postgrado en una institución educativa en la que el idioma Inglés sea el idioma principal de enseñanza.

2. Haber aprobado cuatro semestres de ESL (English as a Second Language) en una institución acreditada.

3. Haber tomado el examen TOEFL,  obteniendo  una puntuación total de 79 en Internet (213 en computadora, 550 en papel), con un mínimo de 20 en las cuatro secciones: leer, escuchar, hablar y escribir.

4. Proveer un documento de exención a los requisitos mencionados anteriormente.  Esto podría incluir: Experiencia ministerial extensa en un contexto de habla Inglés, provenir de una familia bilingüe  donde el Inglés sea uno de los idiomas nacionales, o haber recibido enseñanza  educativa extensa en Inglés, aparte de la recibida en el colegio o la universidad.

5. Dominio del Inglés se puede renunciar en base a la evaluación de Rob Worley en el LRWC.
