Introduction to Biblical Studies

This is the required, foundational course for biblical studies, introducing students to the processes of interpreting scripture. Attention is given to methods of cultural andliterary analysis related to the Bible’s historical context and to the setting of the contemporary reader. Students work with texts from both Old and New Testaments.
