Though January term is a quieter time at McCormick, worship opportunities still exist for spiritual growth and nourishment during this winter month.
During January term (J-term), the seminary has a more relaxed atmosphere with fewer classes in session and many students off campus on travel seminars or visiting family.
We worship through special services of prayer and celebration of the Eucharist in the three-week J-term. These services vary in schedule depending on the needs of the community and the gifts of the worship assistants, and students are always welcome to help in the planning and leading of these special worship opportunities. Often, J-term services include quiet services of prayer and meditation, or reflection on a Bible passage. They provide a wonderful opportunity for intimate gatherings with the community in the presence of God.
J-term worship opportunities will be announced through campus e-mail as scheduled.
