Soles4Souls: Please start thinking about shoes. This year, the LEAD Mission Planning Team will receive your “offering” of gently worn shoes and boots for Soles4Souls, a global not-for-profit organization whose mission is “fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty.” Shoes make it possible for people to go to school and work. They prevent disease and injury. They change lives! So bring your shoes – athletic, running, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance, flip flops, just as long as they are new or gently worn. Please secure each pair together with a strong rubber band or two! In order to pay shipping costs, we ask you to bring one dollar for each pair of shoes/boots you donate. These will be collected at registration on March 7th. We’ll dedicate this offering during the worship service. So – look around your closets and consider sharing those shoes and boots you almost never wear: They may just be the blessing someone is praying for!! Questions? 630.471.4643.
