Seminary Sunday

Each year, a Sunday in September is designated for emphasis on theological education in PC(USA) congregations. At McCormick, we call this particular Sunday “Seminary Sunday.”

As a seminary affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA), McCormick receives requests from congregations across the country for faculty, staff, student and alumni/ae ambassadors to bring greetings from McCormick and to say a few words about the importance of theological education. This is also an opportunity to discuss the Theological Education Fund (TEF) which helps fund the 10 seminaries of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and two theological institutions related to the denomination by covenant.
