Staying in Chicago

Doctor of Ministry course work is intensive, generally beginning early Monday afternoon and continuing through Friday noon and may include an evening session. D.Min. students have access to the on-campus JKM Library and cafeteria facilities at the adjacent Lutheran School of Theology.

McCormick is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood, 6 ½ miles south of downtown Chicago.  Hyde Park is also the home to the University of Chicago and its Divinity School, Chicago Theological Seminary, The Catholic Theological Union, The Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, and Meadville-Lombard Theological Seminary.

Downtown Chicago and other points of interest are easily accessible via public transportation.  Hyde Park has tree-lined streets, numerous restaurants in all price ranges, interesting small shops, and is the Chicago home of President Barack Obama.
