Syllabus

This course examines the theological and practical basis for social transformation within Christian life, and the relationship of social justice to the mission of the church.  Participants will study historical and modern examples of faith-based movements for justice, deepen their understanding of and learn to articulate their faith commitment to transformation, and critique and develop models of engaging faith with community, including base communities, Christian small group work, service projects, community organizing, and political activism.
