Hopp-Peters, Elizabeth

An ordained teaching elder in the PCUSA, the Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Hopp-Peters has taught at McCormick Theological Seminary, Garrett Evangelical Seminary, and Valparaiso University. She received her M.Div from McCormick and her Ph.D in Biblical Studies from the University of Chicago Divinity School, where she wrote her dissertation, Breaking Pots, Making Metaphors: Symbolic Action in the Book of Jeremiah, on theology, history and literary technique within a series of ten prophetic narratives.

Elizabeth lives in Evanston with her husband Kurt and her cat Koko, and serves as a Clergy Associate at Northminster Presbyterian Church.
