Andrew Langford is a doctoral candidate at the University of Chicago Divinity School and is currently writing a dissertation on accusations of mental delusion and moral derangement in the Pastoral Epistles. After completing his B.A. in Classics at the University of Texas at Austin, Andrew earned an Master of Arts in Religion at the University of Chicago. His research interests include the phenomenon of pseudepigraphy in antiquity, disease etiology in early Christianity, ancient philosophy and rhetorical theory, and Paul’s earliest interpreters. Andrew is serving as the interim minister at Lakeview Church of Christ on the north side of Chicago, and is interested in the way critical biblical studies are received in modern churches and contemporary culture.
