Bio

The Rev. Dr. V. Bruce Rigdon is the President of the Ecumenical Theological Seminary and Professor of Church History. He received his B.A. degree from Wooster College in Ohio and studied at the University of Hong Kong for one year during his undergraduate studies. He received his Master of Divinity, M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Yale University, where he specialized in church history and the history of theology. In addition, he is an author, consultant and narrator of films on the Russian Orthodox Church produced for NBC and ABC television. Most recently, he has presented talks on “Deciphering the Da Vinci Code.”

From 1965—1988, Dr. Rigdon (Bruce) was on the faculty of McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago concluding his teaching there as Professor of Church History.

Closer to home, he had served as Pastor of Grosse Pointe Memorial Church from 1988 to 2002.
