Dr. Tamar Wasoian is an experienced educator in diverse contexts and cultures. She started her seminary education at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut-Lebanon. After receiving her MTS from McCormick Seminary as Global Scholar, she returned to Armenia, where she worked in churches, for the denomination, and taught in the seminary. Dr. Wasoian completed her Ph.D. from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Christian Education and Congregational Studies where she has also taught. Identity, faith formation, and storytelling and learning are some of Dr. Wasoian’s research. Her current interests are contextual reading of the Bible and researching religious education in the time of dramatic changes at the Middle East.
