Looking for Five Interns!

Get the chance to gain experience and resources in a Muslim environmentAll internships involve working with a variety of other departments at Sound Vision and exposure to overall operations. Our former interns serve in good positions in the society since they learn so much at Sound Vision. One of them went for CNN but wanted to come back to Sound Vision because she felt it gave her more support. 

Studio Development Intern: Assisting in the development of new Radio Islam and Adam's World studio.

Web Intern: Assists in the development and update of the Sound Vision website, including: graphic design, editing the database and other development oriented duties.

Production Intern: Assists in the production of Radio Islam program, including: booking, ideation, screening phones, audio production, digitizing, editing, completion of promotional/programming paperwork, and special projects.

Executive Assistant: Answers phones, manages schedule of Executive Director, researches and writes stories, assists with event coverage and is assigned other journalistic duties.

Shariah project intern: Researches articles and other content material, works promotional events, compiles and edits articles and web site features, develops multimedia content for sharia project. RequirementsCurrent college student (junior, senior, post-graduate) or out of school graduate of any age.

Internship may be taken for credit or independent of school supervision. Must be available to work a 20-40 hour week. Familiarity with web, real audio, and Chicago is preferred. Previous media experience (school, internship, or professional) preferred. Responsibility, judgment, organization, dependability, promptness, initiative, creativity, and efficiency are key to the success of interns along with the ability to handle deadlines, writing, and audio production
