Glencoe Union Church is seeking a part-time music director to coordinate all music activities for their Mainline Protestant Church. Music at Glencoe Union Church has a rich history and is integral to their worship. The ideal candidate will work closeley with the Pastoral Staff to fully integrate music in the worship life of the congretation. Most of the time is flexible with Wednesday nights and Sunday morning encompassing practices and Sunday service. Their strong music program includes professional vocalists, a Chancel Choir, a music program for children, and a bell choir. The ideal candidate will have at least a B.A. in music, strong skills in Choral direction, and experience with a wide range of liturgical music (both traditional and contemporary). Additional instrumental proficiency would, of course, by a plus. The new Director of Music will also assist in the selection of an organist. It is a salaried position with compensation befitting the talents brought and time committed by the final candidate.
