Organist/Music Director Needed

Niles Community Church, 7401 W Oakton, Niles, IL, is seeking a part-time person to service as Organist and Music Director.

The position includes playing the organ for regular Sunday morning services, 10:00-11:00 a.m. as well as special services that may be scheduled throughout the year. The church has an electronic Allen organ, piano, and electronic keyboard.

The position also includes directing a 12-member choir, which generally sings two Sundays per month, andan 8-member band, which performs once per month. Rehearsal time for the choir is Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. prior to worship. Rehearsal for the band is Saturday mornings, once or twice a month. There are no weekday evening rehearsals.

Weekday hours are flexible. Availability to play at weddings and funerals is required.

The annual salary for this position is $11,000. Our goal is to fill the position by November 1, earlier if possible.
