Suitable for a first ordained call, Ottawa Presbyterian Church is seeking a solo pastor.

In 2016 the Session discussed Rodger Nishioka's thesis 21st Century Reformation, which gave our Session a new vision of being the church in 2017 and beyond. We also reviewed The Great Emergence by Phyllis Tickle, and realize that we need to prepare for the upheaval of the Church as we have known it to be.

The church is blessed to have a strong base of servant leaders who are actively seeking to improve our congregation and the community as a whole. Corinthians 12 talks about how the church is made up of many members, but one body. Therefore:

• We are looking for a pastor who will help guide, encourage, and strengthen the various members and to help us operate as one body.
• We are also seeking a pastor who will support and mentor church leaders in developing their skills and utilizing their gifts to serve the church and greater community.
• We are open to new ideas to enrich and enhance the church experience.  We want this pastor to challenge and motivate our members in spiritual growth. We are looking for this pastor to lead us in living out what Jesus called us all to be as leaders.
