Highland Park Presbyterian Church (HPPC), located in the Park Cities area within metro Dallas, is seeking a fulltime Youth Director.  This historic, yet modern church, with a membership of 4,700 and an average worship attendance of 1,500, has a mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ by embracing the “Core Four” spiritual practices:  Worship God, Grow in Christ, Build Community and Bless the World. HPPC (www.hppc.org) is passionately pursuing this mission through its Youth Ministry.

 The Director will report to the Associate Pastor for Children and Youth and will be responsible for partnering with a youth ministry staff (comprised of 4 full-time Youth Associate Directors, 1 full-time Youth Administrative Associate, and 2 Part Time Youth Interns) to make disciples who make a difference with the particular focus on 7th-12th grade youth. 

Our team at Youth Ministry Architects (www.ymarchitects.com) has been working with HPPC for the past several years as they strive to build structures for sustainable youth ministry. The Director will guide the youth staff toward engaging the church’s Core 4 Values as well as, accomplishing the established goals of the Youth Ministry (see www.hppc.org), prepared and implemented while being resourced by of our team of consultants.

Qualifications for this position include a strong personal faith consistent with confessions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  This non-traditional position in youth ministry will require strong skills in administration and execution.  The Director will cast a vision, provide pastoral care for youth and their families, and recruit, develop and mobilize volunteers.  The successful candidate will have a college or seminary degree and at least 5 continuous years in full-time ministry at one church.  The candidate must show a proven track record in working within a budget and recruiting and shepherding volunteers and staff.
