McCormick Announces Faculty Search

09-21-2011

McCormick Theological Seminary, a seminary of the Presbyterian Church (USA) with Reformed, ecumenical, cross-cultural, and urban commitments, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning fall 2012. We seek candidates with research doctorates in New Testament or Christian Ethics who are particularly interested in African-American, Latino/a and Asian-American perspectives. Candidates should demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in scholarship and teaching.

A letter of interest, curriculum vitae, detailed descriptions of two proposed courses (one introductory course, the other in an area of specialization), and a writing sample should be sent as an e-mail attachment to Dr. Luis Rivera, Dean of the Faculty, at lrivera@mccormick.edu.

The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications on October 17, 2011. Preliminary interviews will be held at the AAR/SBL Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA, November 19-22, 2011. McCormick Theological Seminary is committed to building a culturally diverse faculty; we strongly encourage applications from persons of color. McCormick Theological Seminary is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity employer.
