Roger D. Woods, 82, of Sarasota, Florida, died May 4th, 2016.
He was born July 28, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri. After living in Dubuque, Iowa and Fairfax, Virginia, he moved to Sarasota from Winter Springs in 2002. Over a 40 year period he was a college professor, supervised a congressional office in the U.S. House of Representatives, was on the national staff of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., and did personnel work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and for the U.S. Treasury.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Gregory, of Naples; a daughter, Kristin, of Denver; a daughter, Kimberly Noel, of Sarasota; a son, Kevin, of Tampa; and six grandchildren.
