Rev. Dr. Ozzie Smith, pastor of Covenant United Church of Christ, has been chosen to be McCormick’s 2013 commencement speaker.
President Frank Yamada said, “I commend the graduating class’ choice of this year’s commencement speaker, Rev. Dr. Ozzie Smith. He is not only an alumnus, a faculty member and a member of the Board of Trustees; he is also the senior minister of one of the fastest growing United Church of Christ congregations—a church which serves more than 3,000 members in the Chicago area. We are honored that he accepted our invitation to speak at the 179th Commencement Service at McCormick Theological Seminary.”
