Director of Choirs

Part-time Choir Director:   Approximately 15-20 hours per week, August through May.  Church seeks a talented musician with ability to use a versatile and varied repertoire to lead adult and children’s vocal and bell choirs in an active, mid-sized, progressive suburban church in the Chicago area. Song leading and keyboard skills are a plus. Duties and responsibilities include directing adult mixed choir, a men’s choir, involvement in the 10:30am traditional service, directing children’s choir, bell choirs,and possible development of youth choir in the future. The person must be willing to have regular consultation and coordination with minister of music, clergy staff, worship staff, and music volunteers. Salary based on experience. Estimated 10 month salary is $10,000 to $12,000.
