Richard Zaleski studies the literature, history, and material culture of the New Testament and early Christian world. He is in the final stages of completing his dissertation at the University of Chicago Divinity School. He dissertation is entitled Both Literal and Allegorical: Paraphrastic Biblical Exegesis in Gregory of Nyssa's and Philo of Alexandria's Lives of Moses. He is particularly interested in the New Testament exegesis, the reception of the biblical text in early Christianity, and what we can learn about early Christianity from ancient papyri. Richard also holds an MDiv from the University of Chicago Divinity School, an MA from the University of Arizona, and a BA from Baylor University.
