Advocacy Now

As a member of the IL- Coalition of Higher Ed in Prison, McCormick has been involved in advocacy efforts to urge state and local government officials to decarcerate IL prison and jail populations. Decarceration will make social distancing possible, increasing protections to the nearly 12,000 correctional staff and 40,000 incarcerated people from the risk of Covid-19.
