Guillermo Ramírez-Muñoz
Professor Guillermo Ramírez- Muñoz a native of Puerto Rico. Earned a PhD in Hebrew Bible in the Graduate Division of Religion from Emory University, Atlanta, GA. He received an MTS from Candler School of Theology, Atlanta, GA, a Master of Divinity from the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico, and a BA from the University of Puerto Rico. Ramírez is professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico where he has also served as Dean of Academic and Students Affairs. He recently edited a Festschrift honoring Johannes Bek de Goede a former professor and Academic Dean of the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico. Ramírez research and teaching interests include the prophetic literature of the eight century, BCE, the Old Testament and cultural anthropology and Latin-American Liberation Theology, among other issues. He is currently writing a book on Violence and the Bible.
