Transparency in Coverage - BCBSIL Machine Readable Files

The Transparency in Coverage Final Rule requires disclosure of the negotiated rates with in-network providers and the historic allowed amounts paid to out-of-network providers for all health plans supported by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.  Files containing this information for the plans covered are published on the BCBS IL website.  Please click on the BCBSIL.com link below:

This link www.bcbsil.com leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data. The link will appear in the “Policy Document” section under “Member Services” starting July 1, 2022.
