The Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Hopp-Peters serves as affiliate faculty at MTS, where she has taught courses on Exodus, Jeremiah, and prophecy, as well as biblical Hebrew. An ordained teaching elder in the PCUSA, Elizabeth has served as a pastor at several Chicago-area congregations. She received her M.Div from McCormick and her Ph.D in Biblical Studies from the University of Chicago Divinity School, where she wrote her dissertation, Breaking Pots, Making Metaphors: Symbolic Action in the Book of Jeremiah, on history, theology and literary technique in a series of ten narratives.
Elizabeth lives in Evanston with her husband Kurt and her cat Koko.
