This virtual event on the centenary of the African Orthodox Church, founded by clergy affiliated with the Marcus Garvey movement, will explore the growth of AOC in Africa, the trajectory of the movement that joined the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the plausibility of interpreting the original AOC liturgy as representing an Orthodox western rite.
