Women in Ministry Prayer Mosaic

11-28-2016

The Women in Ministry Group organized and hosted a Prayer Mosaic before break. The event featured over a dozen different prayer stations, many of them teaching different forms of prayer, from molding putty into shapes representative of what was on one’s heart, to nailing difficult thoughts to a cross, to crafting and coloring contemplative moments. On the second floor, spanning the entire McCormick/LSTC building, was a prayer walk with stations for silence, reflection, and rejuvenation, beginning with a baptismal remembrance, and ending on communion. Around three dozen people were in attendance, some of whom spoke at the end about their gratitude for such an experience, and the necessity for prayer during a trying school year, or a troubling political climate, or just in general, regardless of circumstances.
