We are a large church located in downtown Dallas, Texas, with rich worship traditions that are grounded in decades of preaching and teaching excellence. Our education ministry offers numerous opportunities focused on nurturing and challenging our faith. Additionally, our church has long ministered to people experiencing homelessness in Dallas through The Stewpot.
The Associate Pastor for Care and Belonging will lead staff and lay persons in opportunities for building and supporting community through individual spiritual and faith formation, as well as caring for each other in times of need. Responsibilities include:
Drives development, implementation, and growth of congregational care, membership, and group ministries
Identifies, trains, and supports Home Group leaders, and strategizes for program growth
Participates regularly in worship and preaches, up to 6 times per year
This will take shape through inspired programming and intergenerational activities serving all phases of life. The associate pastor will preach sermons that challenge us intellectually and spiritually, as well as create and expand connections through care ministries. We believe, as Christ modeled, relationships can be grown and fellowship can be fostered in the simplicity of just being present, whether physically or in prayer.
