SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: ASSOCIATE PASTOR , LADUE CHAPEL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Tasks, expectations, duties, supervision, assignments, and responsibilities for the position
• Participate in leading worship, including preaching relevant, scripture-based sermons
• Sustain a collaborative spirit within a talented and closely-knit senior staff and support staff
• Work with staff and members to develop and lead a revitalized youth ministry
• Participate with other staff in providing pastoral care, including officiating at weddings and funerals and visiting hospitals
• Work with the Adult Education and Spirituality Committee to develop and present programs to challenge adults to grow in faith, biblical understanding and an appreciation of the intersection between faith and art
•Provide guidance to the mission work of the church in service to the broader community and world
• Act as direct staff support to the Deacons, Stephen Ministers, Youth and Children’s Committee, Adult Education and Spirituality Committee, Mission Committee and other committees as determined in collaboration with senior staff
• Build personal relationships with members young and old, with the goal of knowing each person by name
• Participate in the work of the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy
•Encourage and participate in interfaith activities
