Announcing a new position in the Inclusive Collective (IC) ecosystem. We are launching a Campus Ministry Residency at the IC at Northern IL University (1.5 hours from Chicago). We are looking for a promising young leader (clergy or laity) interested in an opportunity to practice ministry in a Jesus-loving, LGBTQ-inclusive, and anti-racist growing ministry. This person does NOT need to be a polished leader, but they should be a natural networker and exhibit excitement for innovation. It is a PT position, but the package is pretty good. Know anyone? Mature recent college grads excited about collegiate ministry, recent seminary grads and current students exploring campus ministry, lay people with ministry gifts - please think in all of these categories and others! If you do know anyone, please:

More context: In 2019, the Northern IL Conference of the UMC asked the IC - Chicago to take on a new project and support the Conference's campus ministry at Northern IL University. It became the IC at NIU and our intrepid former Student Pastor, Kaitlyn Frantz, went there to start reviving the campus ministry. Growth has occurred in many ways over the last two years (despite 1.5 years of Covid!). Kaitlyn is leaving to move closer to family in Texas, and we are shifting to a residency model for the next stage of this ministry. The IC at NIU is a separate legal/financial entity from the IC in Chicago -- essentially a franchise -- but this person would work closely with the Executive Director and our IC - Chicago team.
