Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church (PHPC), a 2,800-member PC(USA) congregation in North Dallas, is seeking candidates for its Monie Pastoral Residency Program to begin in August 2024.
The Monie Pastoral Residency, named in memory of longtime senior pastor, Rev. Dr. Blair R. Monie, is made possible by families and individuals with the foresight to create an opportunity for a recent seminary graduate to share with us in ministry as they serve and learn alongside our staff and church members.
Since 2014, PHPC has welcomed new seminary graduates to join our pastoral team. Pastoral Residents share the joys and challenges of pastoral ministry and gain practical experience through mentoring relationships and hands-on ministry that will complement their seminary education.
This is an ordainable position as a Minister of Word & Sacrament in the PC(USA). The residency is recognized by Grace Presbytery as a Special Validated Ministry. Qualified candidates will be a recent seminary graduate, will hold a Master of Divinity, and will be certified ready to receive a call or nearing completion of the ordination process.
