Position Overview:
Responsible for setting up media equipment and software for stable, weekly online hybrid streaming of worship services.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties to support UVC’s Mission:
Set up and take down for hardware (cameras/tripods, ethernet, computer, etc.)
Ensure that video and audio quality are optimal
Ensure that equipment is stored properly and safely
Develop a streamlined process for set up/take down that is portable (can work at multiple locations). Must have own car to transport equipment
Develop a streamlined process for set up/take down that allows for volunteer supports
Work closely with Digital Pastor to ensure synchronicity of goals and execution of a high-quality worshiping experience for online congregants/viewers
Must own a vehicle
Essential skills:
Highly detailed and strong organizational skills
Familiar with streaming processes
Can troubleshoot to solve unexpected technical issues and enjoys learning new approaches
Friendly and team-oriented mindset
Familiarity with digital soundboards
Familiarity with online streaming platforms
Education/ Experience:
Setting up, taking down, and caring for internet and media equipment
Working with audio and visual software
Troubleshooting internet connectivity under pressure
Skills/Qualifications:
A high level of initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm and a self-starter, who is enthusiastic to learn new approaches for improving technical flow
Proven ability to plan, develop, direct, and coordinate technical processes – especially for online streaming
Basic understanding of camera functions and menu navigation
Understanding of visual aesthetics (ie, camera angles/zoom, stage direction)
Understands the importance of Audio clarity and gain structure from source to destination.
Basic knowledge of lighting for video and in all spaces indoors and outdoors.
Basic knowledge of low light compensation
Proven ability to communicate clearly and cohesively
Teamwork skills; ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff and volunteers
Strong attention to details
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Demonstrated personal commitments to inclusivity
Reports to: Digital Pastor
Compensation: $5,720 annually
