SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: PASTORAL VACANCY, NEW FRIENDSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH

RESPONSBILITY:

  • Prepares, interprets and presents scriptural based sermons t o meet the spiritual needs o f the youth and adult congregation.

  • Counsels and supports members for pre-marital/marital support, bereavement and hardships.

  • Oversees and conducts quarterly meetings with Ministerial Staff.

  • Holds periodic business and finance meetings with the congregation.

  • Oversees monthly baptism and communion ordinances.

  • Trains and teaches Bible Classes, New Membership Classes, Leadership Classes and Sunday School.

  • Involved in community outreach work.

  • Officiates at weddings and funerals, as needed.
