#GivingTuesday Do Justice Fund

11-26-2016

Today our hearts are heavy. What does it mean to do justice in today’s world?

“He has told you, human one, what is good and
what the Lord requires from you:
to do justice, embrace faithful love,
and walk humbly with your God.”
                                                                  Micah 6:8 (CEB)

Again this year, long-time friend of McCormick and former moderator of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) and voice for justice, Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow and his wife Robin are supporting McCormick’s Do Justice Fund which they helped launch last year with a generous gift.

McCormick's Do Justice fund supports community organizing training and resources for our students, faculty, alumni and friends actively working for racial justice.

Rev. Reyes-Chow said last year, “From all parts of the body: students, faculty, and administration, McCormick is clearly a seminary that is doing prophetic and powerful work with and around the Black Lives Matter movement…” In honor of their 25th wedding anniversary last year, they gave a matching gift to McCormick to launch the Do Justice Fund.

Congratulations to Bruce and Robin on their anniversary. We are grateful they have chosen to celebrate their love with their gifts.

Thank you for joining us and supporting the Do Justice Fund at support.mccormick.edu, this #GivingTuesday.
