McCormick Days 2024
08-05-24
Join us for McCormick Days 2024 as we reconnect, worship, and engage together.
Our annual homecoming for alumni/ae and an invitation to the broader McCormick students, friends, donors, community members, & churches will convene on the McCormick campus on October 10 & 11, 2024.
This year’s theme — At the Intersection of Identity, Imagination & Impact — is designed to inspire participants to discover their unique place in the world, cultivate creative ways to interact, and leverage their faith to create positive change.
Explore how your faith shapes your identity and how you can embrace your uniqueness.
Unleash your creative potential and discover the power of imagination in your spiritual journey.
Learn how to use your faith and talents to make a lasting impact on your community and the world.
Across two days, participants will enjoy times of worship, informative panels, inspiring speakers, and so much more.
We look forward to receiving a special welcome from our 12th President Dr. Maisha Handy. We will also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of El Centro with an address by Senior Scholar of Theology at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and the former director of El Centro, Dr. Luis R. Rivera.
McCormick Days will also feature a celebration of the classes of 1974 and 1999. We will be honoring our Distinguished Alumna Rev. Melody Seaton, and our Rising Star Recipient, alumnus Immanuel Karunakaran. We’ve created a page where you can learn more about these awards and find a list of previous winners.
On the second day of our celebration, we will learn about the intertwining histories of MTS and the Young Lords during a special field trip and discussion at the Center for Latino Research at DePaul University.
McCormick Days will also feature an MTS Alumnus Author’s Book Party.
