Relationship with Arthur Vining Davis Foundations Renewed

It is with great joy and excitement we announce the renewal of our relationship with the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations with a major grant from them for the Center for Faith and Service. While the details are still being confirmed, the grant will allow the Center to replicate the Community Engagement Fellows program at up to ten seminaries and divinity schools that are part of Seminaries that Change the World. This is a major win both for the Center's national activities and for McCormick.

This grant, along with the recent grant from the Henry Luce Foundation for $450,000 and a grant from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis for $100,000, supports the Center's activities at seminaries around the country, including the Center's hub at McCormick. This is wonderful news, and we would like to thank and congratulate the Rev. Wayne Meisel for his work, passion, and determination that made these grants possible. Thank you, Wayne!

You can learn more about the program in an interview with Wayne on PBS this weekend, or follow this link.

In addition, the New Faces of Ministry Tour kicks off this week!

Our very own Chris Williams is already on his way with other fellows from participating schools joining him soon for a summer-long tour visiting over 200 sites around the country. The New Faces of Ministry Tour's purpose is to create new energy for theological education by bringing seminary and divinity school students from around the country into conversation with service-minded young people.
