The Sacred Memory Initiative at McCormick Theological Seminary will be participating in the 31st Commemoration of The MAAFA September 21 – 28, 2025 in Brooklyn, NY at St. Paul Community Church. The theme for 2025 is Reclaiming the Village – Restorying Our Values and Honoring Our Voices. Dr. Itihari Toure leads the creation of the MAAFA Institute programming, and the McCormick Sacred Memory cohort members will participate in the MAAFA as a part of their travel intensive course.
