Sacred Memory Webcast #2 (Baltimore)

“Nommo and other African Concepts as a Proclamation Path for Christian Innovation”

Facilitator: Dr. Irie Session
Panelists: William Lamar, Melva Sampson, Daniel Black, Jayme Wooten, Earle J. Fisher

This webinar series aims to explore Sacred Memory Proclamation as a means of imaginative reconstruction and transformative possibilities for our communities. The term "Nommo," which comes from the Bantu language in South Africa, emphasizes the power of the spoken word. In the second webinar, we will focus on centering ancestral wisdom and incorporating African terms and principles found in African cosmologies. This session will challenge participants to embody new, liberating approaches to proclaiming, teaching, and re-storying within their communities to foster the development of our collective future.
