Rev. Monique Crain Spells, an ordained minister and dynamic leader, currently serves as Vice President for Mission, Advocacy, and Programs at Disciples Home Missions, and Director of Christian Education and Faith Formation Merger Staff for the Christian Church in the U.S. and Canada. With a background in theological education administration, she is also an accomplished activist, playwright, and writer, known for her womanist productions and thought-provoking essays. Holding degrees from Purdue University, Christian Theological Seminary, and Lexington Theological Seminary, where she recently earned her doctorate focusing on ritual, she passionately engages in community work and ministry, all while raising her son, Niles.
