The Center for African American Ministries and Black Church Studies sponsors course offerings, special lectures, and public events
that support the curricular and co-curricular interests of seminarians preparing for and/or engaged in ministry within the Black church context.

Beyond the seminary the Center partners with clergy, lay leaders, and community agencies to sponsor faith-based educational programs related to HIV/AIDS and public health disparities among African Americans, annual multicultural celebration for graduating students, and an annual Clergy/Lay Leadership Prayer Breakfast, and houses the Black Church Studies Certificate.
