Isaias Mercado
Isaias Mercado serves as president and lead trainer for Envision Leadership Group. ELG seeks to develop the leadership potential and capacities in individuals and organizations for maximum performance. With over 25 years of experience in the field of leadership development and management he believes that there is no greater investment than in people. Everyone has the inherent ability to be a leader and to make a difference. Leadership is for everyone.
Isaias facilitates his workshop/seminars-using adult learning principles, an approach that is fundamental and essential for adult learning development and success. It is imperative for Isaias to use a dynamic multi-sensory methodology to ensure attention, comprehension, retention and action. He delivers wide-ranging topics in English and Spanish that cover leadership development, performance management, emotional intelligence, team building, managing change, diversity, communication and many more timely topics in our evolving and changing personal and business environment.
Isaias has a vast amount of experience in executive management. He served as Senior Pastor in a thriving bilingual church located in Humboldt Park/Logan Square community in Chicago for 13 years. He was Vice President for the Latino Leadership Foundation for over ten years. He also worked for Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.) in a longitudinal social science study here in Chicago called Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods. He is a certified coach, teacher and speaker with The John Maxwell Group for close to seven years; A Certified Maxwell DISC Behavioral Consultant. A Certified Professional Coach (C.P.C) from Life Coach Institute of Orange County. He is a graduate from McCormick Seminary in Chicago with a Master’s of Divinity (M.Div.) and a Doctorate of Ministry (D.Min.) degree.
Currently Isaias is one of the lead Workforce Development Trainer for St. Augustine College that deals with workforce solutions in this diversifying society adding value to people and organizations.
