Advance family life at Sandia Presbyterian Church under our vision statement of “Sandia Presbyterian Church is a multigenerational congregation through whom families and individuals are being transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.” This includes teaching, developing, and assisting in supervising family life programs for all ages, but focused on children, youth, and young adults.
Coordinates with:
Pastors, lay staff, congregants, potential congregants, volunteers, parents
Significant Areas of Responsibility:
1. Work closely with the Associate Pastor, Christian Education, to develop and grow SPC’s ministry to children, youth and young adults.
2. Disciple visitors and members through welcoming and pastoral care.
3. Work with the Group Life Team and other church leadership to:
Develop and grow vibrant small groups to enhance relationships within the SPC community.
Equip and help members find places to serve and grow through identifying and developing their spiritual gifts.
Develop and lead programs intended to reach out to young professionals (singles/married without children).
Assist with coordinating large group gatherings (e.g. Wednesday Fellowship, Young Dad’s ministry, women’s events).
Coordinating with youth and young adult leadership, provide oversight and support in mission outreach opportunities.
4. Teaching and preaching as required.
5. Other duties as assigned.
