Overview:
The Director of Youth Ministry will oversee all aspects of ministry with middle school and high school aged youth, both already connected to our church and within our community, with the mission of growing a ministry that, in partnership with families, nurtures faith in Christ and a love for his/her church.
A Biblically oriented, relationship-driven leader with a heart for ministry and for students. One who will place a strong emphasis on creating and maintaining an environment that is enriching, lively, and enjoyable for its participants.
Minimum education:
2-year degree required
4-year degree required
Minimum knowledge and skills:
A living faith in Jesus Christ
A desire to both lead and serve
Experience in leading youth groups, and awareness of current youth ministry/culture
Ability to work well in diverse teams
Adaptable problem-solving, able to calmly adjust to change
Ability to work independently
Pastoral skills: home and hospital visitation, congregational care
Proficiency in various computer software programs including: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access), database management and other church business applications
