Role Summary
Nursery teachers nurture the spiritual growth of the youngest children at St. Paul & the Redeemer by providing child care during worship and education time from 9:00 to 12:30 each Sunday during the program year (September through mid-June).

Responsibilities of the Nursery Teachers
· Facilitate structured free play for a group of children (ages 1-4).
· Maintain accurate attendance records.
· Maintain positive relations with parents, teen volunteers, and church staff.
· Comply with policies of St. Paul & the Redeemer and the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency response.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Previous experience with groups of young children (ages 1-4).
· 18 years of age or above.
· Keeping God’s People Safe training (may be completed within 30 days of hire).
· CPR/First Aid training (may be completed after hire).
Terms of Employment
· Compensation: $17 per hour
· Start date: September 5, 2021
· Part-time, non-exempt position, Sunday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM (summer and special event hours may be available).
