The Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Pastor Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for the role of Senior Pastor and Head of Staff in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Call:

Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware, is calling a Senior Pastor and Head of Staff to join our spirit-filled church congregation as we prepare to celebrate our 300th anniversary. Red Clay is an energetic and passionate service-minded congregation of 700+ members eager to begin our next chapter. As a faith community, we actively serve our local and global community, and support the needs of people of all ages. We live out our vision through our guiding principles: Belong, Nurture, Reach, Rejoice. We look to our ordained staff to provide theological leadership, inspiration, and vision to support our ministries, and also to encourage and help develop lay leaders to find and use their gifts to further the vision and mission of the church. Our church is housed in a historic building on a beautiful campus in suburban Wilmington, adjacent to both areas of affluence and great need. We are close to downtown Wilmington, home to an interesting professional community, and near Newark, home of University of Delaware. Our mission is to provide worship, programs, and experiences where the astonishing love of Christ is encountered and shared. Contact us at pnc@rccpc.org.

How will this position help you to reach your vision and mission goals:

In addition to participating and engaging in our programs and processes, the Senior Pastor’s role will be to encourage, motivate, advise and help develop lay persons for leadership roles. As a church, we want programs and processes in place that are sustainable regardless of our staffing complement. This will only happen if lay leadership is encouraged to find and use their gifts and abilities to further the vision and mission of the church.
