Reimagining McCormick
The Next Chapter
Trust the Journey
McCormick’s reimagining of theological learning spaces is a timely path forward and a once-in-a-generation opportunity to ensure that McCormick’s service and mission will continue for generations to come.
During this exciting transformational journey of our physical relocation, we want to keep our collective community, abreast of our progress. We look forward to working with our wider McCormick community as we continue to transform and prepare for our third century of service.
A message from McCormick Theological Seminary’s Leadership
David Crawford
President
“Through this transformational process, we will be able to invest even more resources into our core mission, academic programs, student success, and community outreach.”
Connie Lindsey
Board of Trustees President
“With characteristic vision, creativity, and grit, McCormick has over the last several years put itself it a position to create new pathways and new programs in theological education. To God be the Glory and we give thanks to you for your support of McCormick Theological Seminary.”
Remaining in Community
The worldwide pandemic created an environment to reexamine and rethink how we operate and deliver a seminary education and experience. We have recognized and embraced the need for a flexible learning environment and workspace. The property sale and relocation means we can fulfill our mission unencumbered by the burden of owning and operating buildings designed for another time in our history. This gives us the opportunity to further McCormick’s mission and helps us to sustainably support our seven key values – Transformational Experiences, Social Justice, Connected Community, Reformed Heritage, Cultural Diversity, Ecumenical Unity, and Interreligious Expression.
Be assured that McCormick is committed to this community and plans to stay in the Bronzeville, Hyde Park/Woodlawn vicinity.
