Art Exhibit Opening at First PC Beacon, NY

Alum Ben Larson-Wolbrink (M.Div., 2004) wrote in to share news about the debut exhibition Who Do you Say That I Am? – Discovering IMages of God-with-Us in the Gospel of Luke to open at the Unique New Beacon Gallery on June 9th:

Beacon, NY, May 10, 2012 – The First Presbyterian Church, Beacon, NY, is pleased to announce the first art exhibition at their new Faith in Art Gallery."Who Do You Say That I Am?—Discovering Images of God-with-Us in the Gospel of Luke" will show work in various mediums by seventeen artists from diverse backgrounds who have been inspired, challenged, and disturbed by a serious encounter with the Gospel of Luke facilitated by Rev. Ben Larson-Wolbrink.

"Who Do You Say That I Am?" includes works  by Chris Albert, Peg Borscherdt, Stephen Clair, Dennis Connors, Elia Gurna, Peter Iannarelli, Jürek, Joshua Lenaburg , Clair Lofrese, Kirsten Kucer, Emily Otto, Robert Paschal , Jean-Marc Superville Sovak , Peter Shehan, Sue Walsh, Lauren Walling, and Katrina Zezza.

The public is invited to an opening reception, Saturday June 9, from 4 – 6 p.m. including live music and refreshments.  The exhibition may be viewed on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1pm to 5pm through July 29th.  Admission is free.
