Rev. Veronica Johnson (2011) Chosen as Senior Director of Admissions and Enrollment

President Frank Yamada has announced that the Reverend Veronica Johnson has been named and has accepted the call to be the next Senior Director of Admissions and Enrollment.

Veronica has done fabulous work as the Director of Alumni/ae and Church Relations. In that capacity, she has demonstrated leadership, creativity, and the highest levels of professionalism. She has already organized and executed a number of recruitment events that have put McCormick in front of dozens of prospective students and feeder churches. She is well connected to and respected among our alums, who are also our best and most reliable source for future students.

An advisory committee was appointed, which provided President Yamada with feedback throughout the hiring process. Through human resources, a national search was conducted and several qualified candidates arose for consideration. The committee and President Yamada concluded that Veronica was the candidate of choice. She has the people skills, the passion, and embodies McCormick's values in ways that will enhance recruiting for years to come.

Veronica’s first day in her new position was July 1, 2014. The first weeks of her work will be dedicated to transitions in the alumni/ae office and to her training and orientation around recruitment and admissions. In this position, she will report to the president and will supervise the admissions and recruitment team for all degree programs, working in conjunction with financial aid. She will staff our current admissions committee and coordinate our full recruitment team, which includes the exciting initiatives of the Center for Faith and Service.
